Thank You Mr. Newman. (1925-2008)
We will have many articles on the stellar film career of the late Paul Newman, however today’s comments are simply to say Thank You.
This legendary individual lived life to the max as a family man, philanthropist, movie star and race car enthusiast. His compassion, empathy and generosity for others are an example and inspiration to us all.
The sheer enjoyment of watching Mr. Newman’s performances unspool on the silver screen in a career that spans six decades is unrivaled.
Whether it’s watching Mr. Newman as a reckless youth who turns to professional boxing for self respect in “Somebody Up There Likes Me” [1956] or as the washed up ambulance chasing lawyer who gets his life back by fighting for the rights of a comatose mal practice victim in “The Verdict” [1982]…..it is simply not possibl
e to express our gratitude as movie fans. We can only continue to watch, be amazed…..and just say……… Thank You.
